Youth Engagement in the National Dialogue Workshop

On 22 September 2023 FES Ethiopia in collaboration with the Ethiopian Civil Society Organization Council held a workshop on youth engagement in the National Dialogue. The workshop participants were representatives from civil society organizations working on youth and women's engagement.

The participants discussed the challenges and approaches to youth engagement in the National Dialogue, as well as recommendations for how to approach youth and create interest in the National Dialogue Process. The workshop highlighted the importance of youth participation but also noted some challenges like lack of awareness, lack of trust in government institutions, and lack of access to information.

Participants made a number of recommendations for how to tackle these challenges and how to increase youth engagement in the National Dialogue. In addition, they stressed that youth engagement in the national dialogue is essential for building a better future for Ethiopia.
