The Coalition for Women's Voice in National Dialogue General Assembly

FES Ethiopia and the Women’s Coalition for National Dialogue organized a consultative meeting on 01 September 2023. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the activities that have been conducted with the intention to collect an agenda for the national dialogue from women of various backgrounds from different regions.

The coalition reported that they have held agenda collection workshops in Dire Dawa, Harar, Benishangul, and Sidama regions. Other regions including Addis Abeba, Amhara Region, Oromia Region and Tigray are planned to be included in the coming months.

The participants discussed also points that have been challenging the agenda collection work, like the current security situation. In order to increase the impact of the coalition in engaging women in the national dialogue process, advocacy and increased use of communication in social media will be used.
