Bahir Dar Series: “Towards a Successful National Dialogue and Negotiation”

Within an ongoing conflict spanning across the large parts of northern, western and southern parts of the country, Ethiopia is envisioning a political settlement through national dialogue and negotiation. Though grand a prospect, still challenges remain with the potential to derail the successful realization of the initiatives.

The Bahri Dar University series on dialogue and reconciliation in this round endeavors to examine the outstanding prospects and challenges facing the dialogue and negotiation process, with the objective to inform the successful implementations of both initiatives. In this whole day event, speakers drawn from policy decision makers and the academia together will assess the cultural, economic and political realities facing the dialogue and negotiation initiatives at national level.
