Workshop on "Local and International Economic Realities Determining the Prospects of the Industrial Sector in Ethiopia"

Policy decision makers drawn from the two regional states of Sidama and SNNP, researchers and practitioners collectively deliberated on the overall reality of investment and trade in the country.

Discussions underlined that rising instability in Ethiopia has impacted the overall economic performance and standing of the country. One manifestation is for example the declining tourism sector, but also the decline of FDIs and the weakening in industry and investment ventures, testify to the challenges awaiting Ethiopia and its people in the near future.
